I played 'Kingom of Hearts - Chain of memories', but I couldn't get through the final boss as Sora. My cousin did. Then we watched it's ending. My cousin left, but I noticed there is something new after that. Riku is now in the 'press start' place, not Sora. I...pressed start *ugh* and then I saw a new menu: New game: Riku.
Oh! BTW, Sora is the 'light', while Riku is the 'darkness'. They were friends, but I'm not sure what really happened next because I didn't play 'Kindom of hearts' in PS2 because I don't have one.
Riku has a heart of darkness and it was used by Ansem (an evil guy. That's all I know. I really wish we had PS2) to survive. In the beginning, Riku was in a place 'between light and dark'. A voice told him to choose: continue sleeping or the door of truth (which is a card for opening doors. He was in Castle Oblivion by the way. Sora too, but Riku started in the lowest basement up to B1 while Sora was in the first floor up to 12F). Riku chose the door, but he only met dark beings. He was told that that's because he rejected everything for darkness. Riku neglected darkness because of that. He reached B3 which is 'Destiny Islands' (Riku's home). He saw his friends but he was ignored by them. He was also attacked by Sora. When Riku was almost devoured by the light. Kairi's voice told him to embrace the darkness and use it against the light. (I don't really know Kairi. Only that she's a very, very, special person for Sora and Riku.) Riku used the darkness inside him to see in the light and saw through the fake Sora.

Light and Dark
Some of us think that light is good, while dark is bad. Sometimes, it really depends on the purpose and the process of using it.
And sometimes, being in the middle is better than choosing sides. But like what Grace said, the only constant in this world is change.
